Historic Elegance & World Class Dining
Originally built in 1930 by Alden Freeman, Villa Casa Casuarina is a Mediterranean-style mansion inspired by the Alcázar de Colón. It gained international fame when fashion designer Gianni Versace purchased and lavishly renovated it in the 1990s, adding features like the iconic mosaic pool lined with 24-karat gold. Following Versace’s tragic death on its front steps in 1997, the mansion changed hands and was eventually transformed into a luxury boutique hotel and restaurant. Today, as The Villa Casa Casuarina, it offers world-class accommodations and dining, preserving the elegance and grandeur of its storied past.
